Northeast Buried in Snow Again, Leaving Hundreds of Thousands Without Power

Several parts of the Northeastern US were buried in more than 2 feet of snow last night as the area continues to get berated with late winter Nor’easters.  Nearly 1,000,000 people were left without power, schools were closed and traveling became a nightmare on local roads and highways.

North Adams, MA got 24 inches, while Montville, NJ and Sloatsburg, NY registered 26 inches. While many smaller cities and towns received the bulk of the snowfall, most of the major cities along Interstate 95 corridor were spared. Thousands of flights were cancelled all around the area, even with the Philadelphia International Airport recording only 6 inches, and New York City’s Central Park recording only 3 inches.

This latest storm comes only a few days after another major Nor’easter that passed through the Northeastern US.  Unfortunately for the New England area, another potentially dangerous storm is brewing, where meteorologists expect to wreak havoc once again starting early next week.
